In exactly four weeks from today, the Hubs + Munchkin and I embark on our first big vacay together to Hawaii. Wheee!
I’m super anxious about the flights with Munchkin in tow. We’ve flown once before back in December when she was a mere 9 weeks. That flight went smoothly because 1) it was just a 50 minutes and 2) she was so tiny, her cries were tantamount to that of a little kitten. Now, at 8 months her cries can rival a jet engine and I’m scurred.
Enter the J Crew Doria Maxi Dress. What does a dress have to do with a plane ride, you ask? Welp, I’m still nursing Munchie and most everything I’ve read about traveling with a baby suggest to stick her on the boob during the flight when she gets fussy, primarily during take off and landing when her ears will likely get pressurized from the altitude of the plane.
ANYWAY – I need a dress that’s comfy for the flight and easy to nurse in and the J Crew Doria dress fits the bill. It’s an easy knit dress with a deep V-neck to discreetly nurse and the cap sleeves and maxi length will keep me warm on the flight without feeling totally bundled up. I can throw it over a bath suit for an simple cover up to the beach and dress it up with sky high wedges and an over the top necklace for a dinner out with the Hubs.
Love!
